Psychiatry Scholarship in the COVID-19 Era

REGULATION
The Portuguese Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health (SPPSM), in partnership with Alter Médica, launches the Psychiatry Grant in the COVID-19 era with the aim of rewarding Psychiatry services, for their adaptation to the pandemic context within the scope of the adoption of good practices in the promotion of mental health, in consultation with the patient and support to health professionals. This grant, in the amount of €5,000.00 (five thousand euros), will be divided between the 3 best projects.

BEST PROJECT
First: €2,500
Second: €1,500
Third: €1,000

OBJECTIVE
Encouraging the sharing of knowledge and good practices by Psychiatry services.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Psychiatry services belonging to public or private institutions may participate as a collective.
The application decision is the responsibility of the main author representing the candidate institution.

APPLICATION FORMALIZATION
Projects must be submitted via email: paula.cordeiro@admedic.pt, until October 15, 2021.
Two documents must be submitted:

  1. Application identification document:

Project title;
Identification of the institution in which the project was carried out;
Identification of the author(s): full name, address, telephone and electronic contact details;
Declaration by the Director of the Service in which he authorizes the application for the Scholarship.

  1. Project title and description

This document may not contain any identification elements, under penalty of exclusion;
The document must have a maximum limit of ten A4 pages, in Calibri font, size 12 and with a space of 1.5.

PROJECT SELECTION AND SCHOLARSHIP DELIVERY
The projects will be analyzed by a Jury appointed by the Board, and the grant will be delivered during the National Congress of Psychiatry 2021 (November 17th to 20th).
The Jury evaluates the submitted and accepted applications, informing the 3 selected and awarded works before the date of the Congress.

SITUATIONS NOT PROVIDED FOR IN THE REGULATION
Any situation not provided for in these Regulations will be resolved by the Board of SPPSM and Alter Medica, in compliance with the General Law in force.
