Dear colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the “III National Meeting of Sections” organized by the Portuguese Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health (SPPSM) which will take place on November 19 and 20, 2020.
Current circumstances, with the COVID-19 pandemic, force us to organize an entirely virtual meeting. Our objective is that this meeting maintains the high level of previous editions and that it corresponds to the expectations and clinical and scientific needs of our psychiatric community. We are preparing a Meeting that will allow effective communication between psychiatrists, mental health professionals and researchers in relevant areas of psychiatric practice.
The central theme of this Meeting – Ruptures and continuities of psychic life. The role of crises – cannot fail to reflect the troubled time in which we live and its effects on psychic life and mental health. The different sections of the SPPSM will organize a set of symposia in which the general theme will be addressed in its various dimensions. The promotion of mental health in this period of social isolation, fears and uncertainty will also be a priority for discussion.
We count on your presence, as participants and in the form of poster communications. We hope to be able to mobilize the largest number of colleagues in this new model of Meeting with themes that we believe to be of interest and pleasure.
